Michelle is a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist, Supervisor, Trainer & Parent Coach and has a particular interest in childhood and Intergenerational trauma, attachment , fostering, adoption ,twins, Pets in the therapy space, parenting, and working creatively with children, young people and adults. Michelle is a qualified social worker and previously worked in local authorities, NSPCC, NCH Action for Children and Trust House Lancashire as a Clinical Lead for CYP. Michelle now works in private practice and has some contracts with Adoption Support. Michelle has previously worked as an advocate for CYP in the care system and has been a Safeguarding Officer for UKATA for several years, a previous member of UKCP's Training and Assessment board for working with Children and Young people. and has facilitated workshops at local and national conferences. Michelle has an MSc TA from Middlesex University and is committed to lifelong learning.

Michelle has a keen interest in intersectionality and bringing the Margin to the Centre in all her practice. This is reflected in the diversity of her clients and supervisees mixed with her own rich cultural and diverse roots from her family of origin. Michelle is committed to growing future generations of therapists and developing practice wisdom and is a regular examiner at UKATA & ITAA exams.. She has been a core member of the training team at TATO based in Leeds since 2017, visiting trainer at Red Kite in Liverpool and is a new member of the TA East Training Community.

Michelle has a waving therapy dog called Nala who is popular with many clients.
