Nibarna Kannathasan is an integrative psychotherapist who draws from person-centred and transcultural approaches as well as narrative and attachment theory principles. She currently works as a Senior Psychotherapist in the NHS and holds a small private practice. Her experience lies within trauma, specifically child sexual abuse, sexual violence and intergenerational trauma resulting from migration. As a Sri Lankan Tamil woman, Nibarna is conscious and curious about the nuanced and different understanding of wellbeing within intergenerational family members and across cultures, she is currently researching this phenomena using the Tree of Life as a doctoral student within Tamil communities.
