Sansel Hudaverdi (She/Her)

OFFICE MANAGER

I am a cis-woman and mother, born and raised in Hackney, East London to immigrant parents. I identify as a West Asian and European woman, with Turkish-Cypriot, Kurdish, Roman-Gypsy and Irish-Traveller Heritage. I was raised with both the Catholic and Muslim faiths in my family, but practice neither and am a Humanist.

I believe in all beings having equal and autonomous power in their own lives and communities, and practice unschooling, sociocratic and self-directed education pedagogies with my son and within our family.

I have studied various subjects throughout my adulthood, including, Law, an IT Diploma and more recently Psychology and Psychotherapy. I am particularly interested in how and why humans relate to each other, our evolution past historic systemic oppression and am interested in psychology, sociology, and ethics.

I’ve previously worked in the Civil Service and public sector organisations, including my role as a Personal Executive within the Private Office of the Department Minister for the Department of Trade and Industry. During the Covid Lockdown, I worked with other home educating families to set up Gamechangers, a democratic and sociocratic school in Bethnal Green.

I previously worked with Victoria and TA East in 2019 and am very inspired and excited to be working with Victoria and TA East again.
